An incredibly spiff night, on the whole

I'm once again drop-dead tired, so unfortunately this will be another exceedingly short entry, but there were some excellent things that I just *had* to report.

First, and currently foremost...I have a new keyboard! As of this very moment, all keys are attached and functioning normally! This is a very weird feeling, since it's been over a year since my computer was in perfect working order, but I'm happily getting used to the change, though muscle memory is an amazing thing. I find myself making lots of typoes, just because my fingers have forgotten how to hit all the keys normally.

Second, and actually cooler news than the keyboard, I'm going to be a linguistics TA! This is probably going to kill me, and I'm a little nervous about it, because I'm not nearly as talented as Ruth or Bridget, and am probably only a tiny bit smarter than my students, but this will look killer on a resume, and will be tons of fun on the side. And another plus, if I can manage to work the system into actually crediting me for this (scheduling reasons could prevent this, though I hope not) then I'll be done with my linguistics minor by Christmas next year. Though if they offer another new linguistics class like they've been talking about, I just might take that for the hell of it.

Anyway...spent a lot of time with Ruth and Bridget today, which was totally awesome. Had a voice midterm, which was less awesome, but went alright, and that was about it besides replacing the keyboard, which, of all things, involved a wooden stick and a screwdriver. That'll be a treasured memory later.

And now, I'm going to see if I can get through another act of Hamlet, and then potentially get some real sleep. Though I'm a bit bouncy at the moment, so despite the fact that I'm sleepy, actual sleep could tkae a little while.

TTFN

death by linguistics, dance and squeee!
