(no subject)
It has been so dreary outside today. I hate this kind of weather. It makes everything else dreary, too.
I got a new therapist. I requested one because I just don't feel like I clicked with my other one. I also don't feel she really wanted to work with me on what I felt was important - real issues, instead of just a weekly bitch session. Trust me, I enjoy venting :) But I wanted to work on real issues and she didn't really do that. Also, she was young, fresh out of college, no husband, no kids. I just don't think she could relate to me. So anyway, I got a new one and had my first session with her today. I think she's going to work out for me. She already gave me homework LOL
Pat was supposed to go up to his house today but never made it. His car wouldn't start :( He had planned to head up there first thing this morning (after Ethan's speech therapy) because the Queen Mooch was supposed to go up and move her shit out today. We don't know whether she actually did or not, but if so, hopefully she didn't rob him blind. She probably didn't even go because God forbid she actually DO anything, plus it was raining, and we all know what rain does to wicked witches. I guess he'll find out when he goes home.
Ooh, I almost forgot - Pat bought me a dryer!! Yay! I've been dryerless for about 3 months now and it SUCKS. Especially now that the weather is cold, it's not really a possibility to hang things out on the line. Pat doesn't have a dryer either, so doing clothes up there isn't an option. The dirty clothes were getting a little backed up, just because it was so hard to keep up with the drying. So he bought me one yesterday. We've gotten all of the clothes here caught up, and I told him he could bring clothes down to dry here, especially since electricity is more expensive where he lives. Win-Win :) We also got some unpacking done last night.
Krystel called and asked me to pick her up from work. She got her first paycheck today from her new job. We had to drive all over to find a place to cash it because she doesn't have a license or ID, but we finally got it done. She took me out to dinner. We haven't done that in a while, so that was nice. She also gave me gas money, which was cool too :)
Tomorrow will hopefully be a good day. We (me, Pat, Krystel, Ramsey, Cheyenne and Ethan) are going down to my grandmother's (now my aunt's) house for dinner. I'm making an apple pie, pumpkin pie, fruit salad and deviled eggs for the meal. Then Pat is staying the night here and he plans on going out early on Friday for Black Friday sales. He wanted me to go but I said NO WAY. It's like taking your life into your own hands on that day, and I'm not risking mine or my baby's to save a few bucks LOL They aren't selling anything at a good enough price for that. I'll let him brave it on his own :)
My birthday is a week from Friday. I will be 34 this year. Ugh. LOL Ah well, it's not that bad. I'm still young at heart, right? I'm not planning on doing anything special. Probably just spend a nice quiet evening at home by myself, since Pat usually has the kids at his house on the weekend. Plus, I'll need the relaxation before Sunday (Dec 3rd) when Peter returns.
