My day

I got to sleep in until 11:40am! OMG that never happens. I think I was just catching up on all the sleep I've missed. girlbox called me a slug :)

I had a strange dream that had me waking up crying. I dreamed that I was driving along a winding road with my mother in the car and the road had no shoulder or a guardrail, but it dropped off a cliff right at the edge of the road. My mother was criticizing my driving as usual, telling me to slow down when I was barely doing 30. A car came from the other direction and into my lane, and I had to swerve to miss it. When I swerved, we went off the road and dropped off the cliff. I screamed as we were falling and said we were going to die. Instead of criticizing me for driving too fast (even though I wasn't), my mother just took me into her arms and held me as we fell. There was blackness, and then, kind of like the movies, you could see someone sitting a computer, writing the story of what happened. As it pulls back to see who is typing, it shows my mom typing, and I had died. It was really freaky and sad and scary, all at once. Hence, the waking up crying part.

When I got up, I was told to call girlbox, so I did. We had plans today to hang out at her house and watch a movie, and then go into town and watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning at the movie theater. Christie had been told that it was really gory, so gory that you couldn't even eat during it, so I think she was looking forward to that, while I was wondering if I could actually watch the whole thing LOL She had called to tell me that her friend Marnie would be joining us. I got out of the house late (a series of events - Pat took a long time taking Krystel to work, Ethan woke from his nap so I couldn't shower, Cheyenne's grandfather was late picking her up), so we bailed on the movie at her house. Instead, she changed my belly button ring so that it will hopefully stop becoming re-infected. Fun, fun :) The ring I had bought was too short, so she had to put an old one of hers in. It's cute, I think. We headed to P'burgh, had dinner at the mall and went to the movie.

The movie wasn't so great. There were a couple of parts that made us jump and a couple of parts that I hid my eyes (more because I THOUGHT it would be gross, not because it actually WAS gross), but all in all, it didn't live up to the hype. It was very predictable, not that gory, and not really that good. We are going to try to go see The Grudge 2 before it leaves the theater.

It was a good day.

christie, friends
