Last night went pretty well. We took Cheyenne to her father's parent's house so they could see her in her costume (Dale Jr, thankyouverymuch! LOL HER CHOICE!). They wanted to see the baby so I took him in. I told them how everyone says he looks a lot like Cheyenne and her grandmother says "No, James wasn't anywhere near you." I thought that was kind of rude. Cheyenne looks like James now, but she didn't so much as a baby. And please. I'd prefer NOT to have diseases and wouldn't sleep with James ever again. That boy has no idea what he does when he's drunk... or WHO he does for that matter. And he's drunk pretty much on a daily basis. No. Thank. You. Anyway, they oohed and aahed over Ethan, which any mother enjoys :)

After their false promises to have Cheyenne over for a sleepover soon (they always promise and never follow through), we headed off to my dad's house. He came to visit me in the hospital when Ethan was born which was a HUGE surprise. He even took Cheyenne out to lunch that day - the FIRST time he's ever spent time alone with her. My stepmother saw Ethan for the first time. She's an odd woman. Her and I used to be so close. I never had the usual "you aren't my mother" attitude with her that a lot of kids have with their stepmothers (and I know this from experience!). But the last few years, she treats me like crap. And it extends to my kids in other ways. For example, there isn't a single picture of my kids in their living room. Not one. And I gave them a FRAMED picture of Cheyenne last year for Christmas. WTF? But there are pictures of HER grandchildren all over the place. I just think that's messed up. My dad treats her son's children like his own grandchildren, so you'd think she'd treat my kids the same way. Whatever. It was nice to visit with my dad, though. He's having surgery on his knee tomorrow, so I'll make it a point to call and check on him.

We came back home and I stayed here with Ethan and handed out candy while Pat and Krystel took Cheyenne trick or treating. That didn't go so well (staying home with Ethan and trying to hand out candy) since he was cranky and hungry and I couldn't very well hand out candy while I was breastfeeding. So when Cheyenne came back to dump off some of her loot, Krystel stayed behind to help with Ethan and handing out candy so both could be done at the same time.

Cheyenne made out like a bandit, as did Pat and I, since she is such a picky eater. I have enough peanut M&M's and Snickers to last me a few weeks! LOL

Hope everyone else had a great Halloween!
