And the coolest thing to post about today...

is Obama.  It's proved anywhere you go on the web--even my friends page.  I'm even making my students, on our class blog, analyze the rhetoric of Obama's speech, and how he uses his words to unify the country.  (My students probably haven't posted yet, by the way, seeing as it's due on Thursday.)

So, my favorite lines from the speech, the lines that gave me hope:

• That we must "choose our better history."  
• That we need to "begin again in the work of remaking America." 
• That he will work to "restore the vital trust between a people and their government." 
• That in regards to the common defense, we need to "reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals." 
• "We are ready to lead once more." 

Obama has a way of putting together his ideas into just the right words... it makes me happy.
