A sad day for Canada... (Re-post from 2009)
These photos were taken at the war memorial in Canada's capital city of Ottawa where a young soldier was slain this morning. He stood on guard in a place of honour. We're all feeling a littl dazed tday. A sad day for all. (reposted from 2009)

When I was very young I used to wonder if the trees missed their leaves after they all fell to the ground. I had forgotten that thought until I saw this tree the other day.
