Remember
this post, in which I mentioned an awesome job that I was interviewing for, and that i felt confident about? How about t
his post, in which I announced that I had not, in fact, gotten the job?
Well, yesterday morning, something brilliant happened.
I got a call from the woman i'd interviewed with. Apparently, after just one or two weeks, it was clear that the other candidate was not right for the job. So she's gone. Which means, I'm in.
That's right:
I HAVE A JOB!!!!!!
Let me just say it one more time.
After four months of working one or two days a week, if that much, and wondering how I'm gonna pay rent the next month, I. Have. A. JOB!
Sure, it's just a survival job, something to support my theatre habit, but still...it's stead, guaranteed money. I won't lie, after the last one of those I had (which lasted 6 weeks and was horrible for every wretched day of it), I'm nervous that this won't be as good in practice as it is on paper....but I'm ready to suck it up and make the most of it if that happens. There are more important things to obsess about.
And now, in related news, today's DDA (or...every-once-in-a-while dose of awesome...but that doesn't acronymize as well):
Things I will now be able to afford, that I wouldn't have been able to afford three days ago:
Gym Membership
Haircut
Rush/Lottery tickets to Jersey Boys, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, etc
Takeout, once in a while
My half of the microwave, and various other apartment things
My half of the storage space (which I've owed for months...)
Paying off my credit card
Rent and utilities (that was gonna be neat...)
A bed frame and box spring
And so, so much more :D
