Why I Love Birthdays

Oct 15, 2006 15:36

I'll never know why people don't like, or don't care about, birthdays.

My birthday party yesterday was just fantastic. And the best part is that today, at work, i'm not hung over in the slightest! After doing about 14 shots, most of them in quick succession, and drinking two beers, that's like a miracle.

Oh, except that's not the best part. The BEST part was being with all of my friends. I think i'm probably the luckiest person ever. There were PSP Initiates there that i've only known for like a month. And Drama freshmen that I've only known for two. My brothers rolled out more than ever, and some friends in the department that I do not hang out with enough. And can I just say how awesome it was to see a few people that i did NOT expect to show up. Amy S., Jonathan Phillips, and Patrick Alan (and Meg!) made me very, very happy. Basically, alot of people that I didn't really expect to see came out, and even better, alot of people that I did expect to see showed up, too. The point, which I know I've already made, is that I'm crazy lucky. I have the best friends ever.

Oh, and one more thing:

I love you guys!

plus, I left with a free shirt, the "gayest card ever", a happy alumni gift, and some "souvenirs" from the mont. I didn't even have to pay for my beer!

And now I still get to look forward to my trip to NYC. Is New York ready for the McConnells? I really don't know...

It doesn't matter how old I am, I am always gonna love birthdays.

birthday!
