Just a stupid day
We've just been to the Destinations travel show and are about to go out again so this is all written in a bit of a dash.
For some reason J gets sent free tickets to the Destinations travel show and we've been a couple of times and picked up some useful brochures. Today was the only day we could go so we thought we'd make the effort even though we're going out later. I always forget how overwhelming Olympia is and the minute I set foot in it I start to feel tired. As the train we intended to get was cancelled we missed a couple of talks that might have been interesting but we did pick up some brochures that we wanted and had a good wander around. Most of the exhibitors were plugging holidays that are a little further afield than we want to go this year (Latin America seems to be the destination du jour) but we did have a good time looking at the Wanderlust Travel Photo of the Year. There were some glorious photos though some were taken with drones, which I can't help feeling is cheating a little. As an event it is fun to go to though the number of people is a little overwhelming, but I 'm glad we didn't waste the tickets (I wouldn't actually pay to go).
As I'm mentioning destinations, in the spirit of today here are some of my favourite places which I have every intention of continuing to visit, national stupidity notwithstanding.

As I sometimes think I'm invisible as people head towards me looking at their mobile phones with apparently no realisation that they are about to walk straight into me, I'll go with Invisibility as I'm obviously half way there already!
