Happy New Year
A bit late but Happy New Year everyone. 2017, don’t let the door hit you on the way out! I don’t think I’ve ever been so glad to see the back of a year so in an attempt at optimism I am trying to look forward to 2018 a bit more. We still have a lot to sort out from selling my mother’s house to clearing all the things we brought back from her house to ours - books, papers, photographs etc but hopefully it won’t be so all consuming and we can actually do something to our house for once. That is my main goal for 2018 as having been lumbered with disposing of other people’s possessions twice now I don’t want to do that to anyone else. A giant clear out is very necessary.
Apart from that I’m going to aim to read more, though I did quite well in 2017, and definitely lose some weight and get fitter. I think I say that every year but I mean it this year.
I ought to promise to write more on LJ too but every time I do that I write less so I won't say anything at all about it and see what happens.
2018 will be getting off to quite an interesting start as I’m doing jury service from next Monday. I’ve done it before and I’m not over-keen to do it again but in the spirit of being positive I’m going to try and find it interesting.
