Going well so far

The gas man was supposed to be calling today but he's sick. Actually I don't mind too much about this as I've already dealt with a different gas man once this week, but I wish they'd called *before* I'd moved all the stuff that would be in his way and not after. It's probably quite lucky he isn't here though as the sound of me swearing at the BFI ( Read more... )

Thanks for the rec. There are just so many stories to choose from it's getting overwhelming. This was already on my To Read list but now it's been bumped up to next. That first portrait of Merlin is stunning.

Those Catherine Bailey books sound fascinating.

They really are. Real life was far stranger than Downton Abbey fiction.

I've been a bit overwhelmed by Paperlegends too. I just couldn't decide what to read next so I thought a break might be a good idea until I could plunge back in refreshed!

Thanks, but I think I might be about to give up. There's only so many times one can be thrown out of a website to enable one's husband's crush on Berenice Bejo :)

Many hugs back.

Totally overwhelmed with paperlegends. Am pretty much reading them randomly. I will read them all eventually, esp. after muppet lists them and I can do them alphabetically.

I wish there were more canon ones, though. There have been some great modern stories but oh, how I miss the show with all its quirks and plotholes and A/M goodness.

I miss the show too. I presume people are put off writing canon because of the sadness of the ending but it's a shame, though I do love modern AUs.

I was feeling completely overwhelmed and not sure what to read next, which is why I'm having a short break to regroup :)

One day I shall read books again...but not today.

I can't WAIT to get to read some paperlegends. I've not read a single one as I am still writing mine BUT I just finished the writing part last night (huzzah!) and after editing today, I post tomorrow and can finally say goodbye to feeling chained to my laptop!

Can't wait to read Nympha_Alba's fic, it looks fantastic-as does Alby's art for it :D

Yay! Congrats for finishing paperlegends. As a reader I've been stunned by the number and variety of stories posted. Looking forward to reading yours :)

nympha_alba's fic is lovely and Alby's art is to die for.

Speaking of PaperLegends, I'm horribly behind as well, but one of the stories I did read over the last weekend was Footloose's Shadowlord and Pirate King. Absolutely brilliant! Over 100,000 words and I read it in one long sitting :D.

Wow! That's quite a tribute to it. I've already got it sitting on my Kindle waiting to be read, but I was planning on saving some of the longer ones for the long winter evenings. If it's that speedy a read I might bump it forward though :)

It'll take you a few hours plus but I was hooked into the world she created within the first couple of pages. Her characterizations are magnificent and the overall story is so *very* satisfying. And -- pirates! Space age pirates (I don't think that's too much of a spoiler.) How can that not win you over immediately!! I would strongly encourage you to bump it up :D.

You've convinced me :) And there's gorgeous art as well. Paperlegends is such a feast of goodies!
