Yesterday I went into London to meet J after work and was standing waiting for a Circle Line train at Victoria when I saw a guy ahead of me with a stuffed parrot on his shoulder. Then it moved. It wasn't a dead parrot but a live parrot! I used to travel on the Tube every day but that's the first time I've seen a parrot using it.
Today I was in Waterstones when I overheard a couple discussing "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett. The woman said to her husband "it was on telly you know. It was a bit like that Shakespeare thing - Henry IV." Um...OK.
