Today is the last day to sign the petition to save BBC Four from swingeing budget cuts. Sign it if you can as BBC4 is a thing of wonder and delight, full of fascinating documentaries, new dramas and Danish detective in sweaters. British (and foreign) television at its best.
Speaking of British television I am enjoying Doctor Who and Torchwood (sort of) but the programme I absolutely cannot miss for any reason is The Great British Bake Off. The triumphs, the disasters, and the amazing baking are completely addictive! I'm rooting for Jason as he's a local lad, but frankly anyone could win it. I don't think I'm going to be trying to make macaroons any time soon but there are recipes here.
Finally for Merlin fans: are we all indulging in a collective hallucination or are there really pictures of semi-naked knights all over the place?
