How's this for detail...kathycntryDecember 1 2005, 16:29:48 UTC
I am doing great at this point! Early on I was exhausted, then I went through the whole morning sickness phase for a few weeks but since about 4 months everything has been a cake walk. Of course there is heartburn, itchy skin, and the fact that sleeping is becoming interesting....waking up about every 45 minutes to pee/needing a nest of about 5 pillows to find a comfy position but none of that really bothers me. Oh, I get short of breath too, sometimes just sitting still it feels like I have been running because the kid is pressing into my lungs. There are like 14 pregnant women running around my work right now, 2 of whom are my direct co-workers, so I am in good company. Must be the water... I had a sonogram between 5 and 6 months, and I have a couple interesting pics. I will try to scan them later and see how they do. No belly pics yet but we were just saying last night that it is time to take some, so I will send those too, once we take some. Unfortunately we don't know the sex yet, gonna have to wait and see when the big day comes. But, if she is a girl that isn't such a bad thing....baby would NOT open its legs for the sonogram no matter how much we begged, poked, etc. Maybe she is learning good morals young. Or maybe it is a he who is just a little shy. Never can tell. At this point I am excited and anxious. The closer it gets the more I can't wait for the baby to be here. At the same time, I have loved being pregnant and will definately miss certain parts of it. There is nothing in the world like feeling a little person moving and rolling around inside there. We also have this fun little game where I poke my tummy and the baby pokes me back. It is quite fun...at least at the level of fun you can have with someone not even born yet. The good news is we have most of the supplies that we need, and all the major stuff is here and set up so things are fairly stress free at this point. The crib and pack & play are up and ready to go and all the baby clothes, furniture, car seats, etc. are ready to roll. Now if I can just teach the cats that the crib is not a personal feline wrestling ring we will be in good shape. The due date is not until Jan. 25, but I was told to be prepared any time after Christmas...don't want to take any chances. I will keep you updated as things progress. I think that should be enough detail for ya...probably more than you ever wanted to know. ;-)
P.S. Did ya happen to notice that I got pregnant right along with Michelle Williams and Katie Holmes....guess I just can't let go of Dawson's Creek...gotta keep up with my gals! (by the way...heard in an interview yesterday that Tom "psycho" Cruise bought Katie her very own sonogram machine so that they can get daily updates on the baby...how....cute)

Wow, that's...a lot of detail. LOL...really is cool though. Sounds like it's been almost a dream pregnancy, especially since it's your first. I'm glad it's gone so well for you, and that you're still feeling pretty good. Hopefully you'll make it all the way to the end without any bumps in the road.
So have you discussed names yet? If it's a boy, you should name him Benjamin. (BEEN-JAH-MEEN!) Or Jackers. Hehe...
PS: Yes, I saw about the sonogram machine. Tom's nuts. Of course, I'd probably act psycho if I got to sleep with Katie Holmes too, but c'mon now. He's Tom Freakin' Cruise. He can have his pick of beautiful famous women.
