I haven't posted on here for ages, so I feel like I should, but I'm not really sure what to say that isn't just moaning... Humm.
I had my annual leave; I went home to see my mum and brother. It was quite fun, except that I had to spend nearly two days on the train and only two full days at home. But I got to help mum and the other teachers/TAs decorate the really big school Christmas tree in the hall! And then go into the village for the Festive Fayre with mum. I met up with the Guides in the village hall and bought cakes from them, and we went in all the shops, bought some stilton and grape flavoured crisps and some mulled wine, and listened to the school choir sing in the garden centre. I also went shopping in town the next day for Christmas presents, but I only bought one in seven hours of shopping. I'm still not sure what to get some people, so I'm afraid presents may be late this year :-S
When I got back up here we decorated the house for Christmas. It's looking quite good. We have fairy lights around the windows and paper chains and tinsel in the living room and stairs. Nicky is going to get the tree tomorrow, so we'll do that tomorrow night. I've already got my mini tree up in my room, with all the usual old decorations. I got new lights though, because I don't really like the pink plastic hearts I've had for the past few years. I got multi-coloured LEDs instead, but sadly the yellow and the blue aren't very bright.
My laptop got a virus on it :-( It would turn on, but then it kept freezing before I could do anything. So I had no choice but to take it up to the uni to get it fixed, but they're supposed to be charging me £47 an hour! I've had an e-mail back saying it's ready for me to pick up now, but I really hope it isn't going to cost too much.
Ooh and I finally gave in and bought a new Winter duvet and an electric heater for the bedroom, it's great! I love that I can actually be warm some of the time while I'm in the house now.
