Ain't no drama like INTERNET DRAMA cuz internet drama don't stop!

A couple of days ago, I got a notice saying that theredhead had removed my access as an spinningfiber mod. She didn't respond when I asked her what was up, so I asked the rest of the mod team; none of them knew anything either. She'd also turfed huaman, who pretty much single-handedly saved the community when theredhead went dark for the better part of a year after getting everyone to send her yarn for a skein contest and using her position within the community to gain a scholarship to the Spin-Off Autumn Retreat, worth about a grand. She promised people's yarn back in six weeks, and seriously nobody could get a response from her via any protocol for nine months (though she continued to post in her own journal), and when she came back and acted like it was no big deal things very nearly went to hell in a handbasket, except Abby superheroically held things together.
Anyway, the other s_f mods and I got to talking, and I finally got theredhead to respond to me, but not to answer any of my questions; she said that turfing me had been a mistake, but that she didn't like my tone and my aggression and so she wasn't going to reinstate me. She tried to tell everyone else that we were working it out privately. She wouldn't give anyone her reasons for turfing Abby, either. I revived the old SpinningMods community, and the mod team talked about what to do next -- all the moderators, including theredhead, were invited, but she chose never to show up, despite being pointed to the invitation multiple times. I asked her for her input on responding to questions from community members, which she steadfastly refused to give me. Finally I just said "I won't stay quiet about this any more, I'm going to start answering people's questions as I see fit."
Then apis_mellifera posted to the community asking what was up, and, well, a bunch of people told her, and there was a lot of discussion in that post about what should be done, and we were all sort of wondering how long it would be before theredhead deleted the post (as she had deleted earlier posts asking that very question). . . well, she did us one better! She turfed ALL the other mods, and then deleted the community! Way to take your ball and go home!
SO: If you are a person who likes to make string, and you used to belong to SpinningFiber, please come join us over on handspinning, where we can hopefully all get back to making string and talking about making string and have about a thousand percent less drama.
