I've had to do different types of writing this week at work: several days of working in the thousands of words, then several days of writing up short paragraphs, and then, today, careful editing of someone else's essay, where I added or replaced about 20 words.
I feel like each job took about the same time or the same depletion of free neurons to finish. Which I might have let bother me, on finishing my 20 words for today, but I realize that I'm not billing by the word, but for knowing where to put the word.
