just exhausted. I worked a lot this week. The depression is still plaguing me because I am definitively not where I want to be, but I guess I am making baby steps. I got new books yesterday, which always makes me happy. One of the local public libraries was having a book sale to clear their shelves and most of their books were older so I picked up about two dozen very old children's books (from the sixties, like the ones I grew up with). They were ten cents each, so how could I refuse?
I also checked out "Brother Sun, Sister Moon," basically a flower child interpretation of the story of St. Francis of Assisi. Moye mentioned it in Medieval Christianity, and the library had it, so I tried it. She was the one who described it as a hippy version of the story, and she really wasn't exaggerating. Its the kind of stuff that my generation would never believe existed but for the empirical evidence.
Other than that, life goes pretty well. I'm getting used to living on by myself (and not freaking out at every noise). I have curtains or blinds on all but three windows now, which helps tremendously. And I am cooking, which is happy. And now I need to go clean.
And I hate the flies that keep getting into the house.
