March Books
I got so much more reading done in March, but it still feels like barely anything! Here's what I finished pre-April...
1) Party Princess by Meg Cabot
The Princess Diaries, Vol. VII
YA, Ages 14+
Since I've been going on about these books since January, I'm not going to go through each one, but yes, I loved this one.
2) Princess on the Brink by Meg Cabot
The Princess Diaries, Vol. VIII
YA, Ages 14+
Loved this one, too.
3) Princess Mia by Meg Cabot
The Princess Diaries, Vol. IX
YA, Ages 14+
This was probably my second-favorite in the series.
4) Forever Princess by Meg Cabot
The Princess Diaries, Vol. X
YA, Ages 14+
This was definitely my absolute favorite. Mia's figured out a lot about herself, and there's lots of great angst & romance. *love*
5) Twilight: The Graphic Novel by Stephenie Meyer & Young Kim
Volume 1
YA, 12+
I wasn't going to buy this, but I got a coupon in my email and it was way on sale, so I figured what they hey & got it. And I loved it! I wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much, but the images totally brought the story to life the way I'd imagined it the first time I read it (way better than the movie). My only complaint was that it ended in the middle! *grumble* At least I know how it ends. Must look up the release date for next volume...
6) Nightlife by Rob Thurman
Cal Leandros, Book 1
Adult UF, Ages 14+
I'd started this quite a while ago, but got into a mood that could only be satisfied by Princess books-- of which this is very much not one. But I loved Cal so much I had to go back and finish it. So glad I did, it's got (almost*) all my favorite elements: angsty teenage boy, super-protective older brother, vampires/monsters/faeries/various creatures that go bump in the night, an adorable psychic and a very well-dressed Robin Goodfellow. Now I just have to pick up the sequel the next time I'm out...
