I just got notice that my drivers liscense will expire November 7 unless I go take a road test, and I'd need to go to Ontario to take the test. I will likely fail the test if I take it anywhere other than Thunder Bay because the highway merging part will involve the 401 or some equivelant, also I know very few people with cars to lend me to take ( Read more... )

It's SO handy to have your license.
I dunno what you should do, try to get home! even if it is just for a couple days. I couldn't imagine taking a driving test ANYWHERE else, (I just haven't been to any small cities in ontario, which is why I can't imagine it).
Atleast you've got 4 months to figure something out, it'll be alright I hope!

Hello Kathleen!!

Peterborough is a nice place to take your driving test. The highway they take you on here is the 15 and the traffic is similar to the highway in Tbay. I'm not sure if they lend cars but give them a call.

Thanks Amanda, I will look into that. Maybe I could stay with Sara and pay a driving school the fees to go through the test route once and use their car for the test.

I could visit Sara!
