Working Away

Let's see, on the odd and irritating front, IE seems to be doing weird things to LJ's code. *sigh* Undoubtedly something I've done or not done lately to cause it.

And to get the proper feel for some of the Chinese sites I'm looking at for research, for all I'm reading them in English, I told Sleipnir to go ahead and download the Chinese traditional encoding. Only it added something to my registry too and I have the little "En" on my task bar, when odds are I won't use it much in the future. *sigh*

However, I'm finding some great material that I can use even with the rider that I'm not to write scenes requiring new background art. Writing to the cultural requirements of whatever country an episode is set it is de rigeur for me. My bad. :-) So I'm collecting taboos and superstitions, ettiquete rules, and phrasing so the character behavior and dialogue will have a proper feel. I know it's ultimately not important as far as producing episodes goes -- but it matters to me, so I'm having fun with it. Can't imagine not doing research for a script. Even when my story editor warns me not to, like this time. :-) But that's mostly on the visual side.
