The Author
Beth loved the smell of fresh ink and the smear of it on her fingers. There was something about a newspaper hot off the press. Today her name was in print. And not in the bad way that often happens by being mentioned in a story as the victim, or the perpetrator, of a murder or other high crime. No, today she was the write of that story. She was the one writing about the bank robbery. Sure, it was just a basic news brief, but her name was there, in black and white, but damn, it was spelled wrong.
