Killing time before class. There's not really enough time to nap, and who really wants to be productive right before going to class? Not me, that's for sure. Plus, I'm freakishly ahead on my homework right now and I've still got time to kill later hanging out in the PEC (Physical Education Complex, because you wanted to know that) after work and before frisbee practice. I'm really good at frisbee now. At least compared to my sucktastic performance last year and even earlier this year as well. So that's pretty sweet. And we're going to a tournament in Louisiana not this weekend, but the next. It's going to be ridiculous. We leave on a Thursday, drive all night, hang out Friday, play frisbee all day Saturday, get crazy/stupid Saturday night, wake up horribly early Sunday, play frisbee all day Sunday and as soon as we're done playing we have to get in the cars and drive back straight through the night making it back just in time for my 8:00 class Monday morning. Goodbye sleep!
Hmmm, what else?
Well, I'm bored, so you must be bored, too. So you can say
good things or
bad things about me. Or both, if you're so inclined. Or neither, if you can't really remember who I am.
Major life events? I applied to study abroad in Adelaide, Australia. Right now I'm waiting to hear back from Grinnell about whether or not they're going to grant me permission for my program and semester choice. I'd like to go in the fall for a variety of reasons, hopefully it'll all work out. I still have to actually apply to Adelaide. And I'm sick of waiting. It makes me nervous and edgy. I start second guessing the quality of my application essay. Do you think it would help if I told them that I want to study abroad in Australia in order to find a Heath Ledger equivalent so that I may runaway with him? Because I will. My mom seems overly concerned that I'm going to fall in love while abroad and never want to return home. When she says stuff like that, it just makes me want to do it all the more. So now I have to get engaged while abroad. Ridiculous goals are far better than realistic ones. At least this way when I fail, it'll be expected.
Other than that, life is the same old story. I work, I study, I play frisbee, I participate in the standard fair of social activities. Understanding the boredom now? Good, now get back to your life.
