OK so who else is
seriously thinking about becoming a vegetarian after all that stuff about melamine and whatever else contaminating not only dog/cat food but our own food? This situation seriously reminds me of
The Meatrix.... I am worried because I don't know where my food comes from - I like to eat seafood but sounds like a lot of that comes from China, and I don't trust them anymore after the melamine thing and
the article about their cheap drugs that kill people. (Wouldn't it suck to take cough syrup and then die from it?) I knew a lot of their stuff was deregulated but I've only really had to think about it in reference to movies and clothes, which I don't really care about. But food and drugs are way more important - it's not about whether some company with tons of money loses out on more money because you violated a copyright. It's real people dying because you're trying to come up with a cheap way to get your product out there.
OK but forget China. Why are the FDA and CDC pretending like nothing is wrong? Because if they did there would be a huge panic, probably, and they don't know what the hell to do when shit is this widespread. But seriously... I want to keep my kidneys and liver till I'm very very old, so I don't care how hard it is for them to clean this stuff up. That's another part of this whole Meatrix thing... the setup of our food system makes it so we are all connected and if something goes wrong somewhere, it goes wrong for everyone. Isn't that a problem? Like, the equivalent of putting all your eggs in one basket?
