12 days till M-Day
In 12 days, I move. In 10 days, I intend to have finished Verdant. Maybe then, I'll be able to get a little bit of sleep.
I do wish I weren't such a night owl. I write better once the sun has gone down though, which is actually a bit appropriate given the topic. I'm hovering just under 72,000 words as of this moment, which means for July Novel Writing Month, I only have about 18,000 words to go, with at least 1700 being written per night.
But in a random note, I got asked a few days ago if I ever intended to let out a certain piece of information that I have been hinting around since the first book. Frankly, if I had to give an answer right this second, it would be "no", but I'm not committing to that. Then again, I once wrote a story where I didn't tell one character's name till around Chapter Thirty-Five and not at all for another one. Hinting is just something I enjoy doing. It's a quirk.
But now, to get the rest of my 1700 words for the night, so that I can go to sleep at a decent hour.
