I actually think religion and the church are necessary for most people. It's a welfare system in a way and it works on altruism (or so it should).

I just find that I don't need a common belief in Jesus Christ to find this same social network and support system.

I'm sorry if I offend anybody. That's not my goal. In fact I don't even know why I like talking about religion so much.
