There is a lobster place down the road that keeps mocking me. Lobster - seafood in general - is my all-time favourite, and there is a giant ad in the elevator that I see every time I go up or down - which is quite frequently. Today I had the misfortune of walking by it while ravenously hungry due to our grocery run being cancelled - more on that later.

Today was... interesting. Learned the ins-and-outs - more outs than ins, I would say. Who knows what I am trying to say with that.

Getting up at 7... is still not my thing. And I had no idea what to do with myself... so I walked around the hotel, and encountered a disgusting giant waterbug outside the hotel... *shudder* (google this bad boy... and you will understand)

Breakfast was predictably... processed and salty, but at least there was fruit and all this. Despite breakfast, I was exhausted by the time 8:30 rolled around, and had to make an effort to keep my eyes open.

The day went by with people coming and going, and one of my coworkers did not seem to be having too much success... turns out that as a result of a transaction she handled very poorly (even I could tell, and I'm the newbie) she is getting fired...

As a result (or at least I assume so) grocery run was cancelled, so I was force to trudge the streets of Gananoque while half starved to death.

Got a rotisserie chicken from some Greek food establishment (there is always at least one), and felt much better having real food inside.

It also appears that we got the shaft when it comes to interesting hotels... while this one is brand new, it's predictably boxy and boring. The Best Western next door looks much more exciting, featuring a restaurant patio and some honky-tonk singer who happened to be yowling away as I went by.

Anyways, off to eat some crab salad. Yums.

Love to all
