2015 Trip Day 13
Third time's the charm! I have finally visited the Stubai Glacier - hooray! I just happened to check the Stubai webcam this morning early and it all looked nice and clear so I went to Innsbruck and jumped on a bus, arriving just before midday. I didn't stay long, but at least I ticked it off the list!
I also went to see the (almost ridiculously small) museum devoted to small railways in Tirol such as the Achenseebahn, the Zillerthalbahn and the Stubaitalbahn. I was rather disappointed by it, but perhaps that's the reason it's only open on Sunday.
And, for the third day in a row, I got back to Jenbach in time to catch the steam-train back to the Achensee and then travelled on the lake to Scholastika and back. It's most likely the last time I will have an evening run as they are stopping the 3pm train from Jenbach and the 4pm boat, but it's been a lovely week of travelling that way!
Tomorrow it's time to visit the local museums!
