Almost finished packing! Yes, it is almost five in the morning and I am wide awake on a very odd mixture of root beer, wasabi peas, and Blue Nun riesling wine (I haven't touched it since midnight, I'm not that big of a loser). My stomach will never forgive me, but then again, I am a college student

Okay, book recommendations (because I know how those 12 hour flights go, and I've collected some rather obscure airport books over the years):
Pope Joan by Donna Woolfolk Cross - I've been recommending this one a lot lately, because it's really good. I'd call it historical fiction.
Ballad of the Whiskey Robber by Julian Rubinstein - hmm. biographical fiction, maybe? lol. It's about the Whiskey Robber in Budapest. Also awesome.
Also, if you haven't read Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series yet (One for the Money, Two for the Dough, etc), I always recommend that. They're mystery/adventure books written by a romance novelist, but they're really very funny. I've gotten a lot of people hooked on them. ;) I know for a fact those should be in all the airport bookstores, and they're great for on-the-plane reading because they're rather light and don't take long to read. You'd definitely be able to finish one (probably two) in flight.
I second the person who said "David Sedaris", but I'd add that if you have an mp3 player you might want his audio books instead. He's brilliant at deadpan humor. "Dress Your Children In Corderouy and Denim" is terrificly non-PC and hilarious.
