(no subject)
Things are going okayish. Ruth has done wonders getting all our stuff away. Jeff is still bringing loads of crap from Derby St. We have no room in our bins & they don't get emptied until Wednesday week. This every second week pick up with a tiny rubbish bin thing sucks. That hadn't come in when we left for the middle of nowhere. We may be fine once there aren't three house moves going on at once but for now I've no idea what to do with the rubbish.
We've been feeding the pets twice a day because Jan fed hers that often and we've taken over feeding them all. Pip got really under weight so we figured two meals a day might help him eat enough. He's eating it but he's not putting on as much weight as I'd like. It's always been a struggle to get him to eat enough. We'll get him to the vet soon for his vaccination and a check up.
The other week Will asked us if we could look after his girlfriend's mum's cats as they were all going away for the weekend. We said yes and today went to meet all the pets so we know where everything is and how to feed them. It's just down the road so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.
When we got there though the car wouldn't lock. It did the double beep thing that it does if you have a door open or the boot open and wouldn't lock. We checked all the doors and boot but it still wouldn't work. I ended up putting the key in the door and turning it. It still beeped at me but it locked. Next few times it's locked fine but it did it again twice so we'll have to get something done about it. I'm guessing it's a door connection fucking up. Auto electrician in Bathurst said these cars can have issues with them. Ugh, Don't want car problems though.
I don't remember if I mentioned the fact that Nephew No 3. Likes Superheroes, especially Iron Man so he's having an Avengers themed party. I accidentally stuck my hand up to make the cake. I bet it has to be chocolate. I can't think of anything more boring. But anyway I've picked up a bunch of stuff to try and make moulded figures. I don't need to but I want to see if I can. I'm not fussed on fondant so I'm going to try making modelling chocolate, maybe over rice crispy treats. I'll give it a go now and see if I can bother doing it for a cake. Biggest issue is the party is in November so I don't know if the stuff will just melt.
I could just ice the cake in Ironman colours and they'd be happy but I'm going to try figures and maybe small marshmallow fondant circle designs to put on top of the icing. I picked up a few cake decorating things from Aldi so I have some tools to try with. Like I need another craft. At least this one you can eat the product. Not that we should.
