I have some other pics on my phone and camera that I'd like to put up but I need to sort out where to upload them so for now you can see my Instagram pics
Trial run for the rainbow hair chalk. I reversed the rainbow once I had the top of my hair purple
Purrrrrple hair!! Alisso29 bleached and dyed my hair for me. It's really hard to get a good photo of what it looks like. I love it. I have more of the process to put up once I get them online
My normal drive Vs driving in to Sydney. I wish I'd got Ruth to take more photos as we got closer and traffic got really bad but the GPS was playing up and stressing us out.
Sculpture in the hotel lobby window
Hotel had a pretty much full kitchen with a proper fridge (way smaller than ours but much larger than most hotel kitchens), microwave, stove top and full oven and a bunch of cooking pots and pans and trays. Also colour changing lights and rainbow carpet and lots of mirrors (but not in the bedroom) so this shot is cropped to remove people in the mirror behind the sink
View from the balcony. We were really close to Oxford St and a bunch of places I could eat.
Photo of me in the mirror. You can see the rainbow carpets, bit of the comfy couch and TV on the wall. Also my Purrrrple hair!!
We went for a walk to find a convenience store while Alisso was heading back home to pick up the wristbands (entry to the disabled space at the parade) that she'd forgotten. I really should have taken more photos of the street art and stuff but I was too busy trying to walk and not dislocate something or fall on my face. We also found
Mad e Pizza Bar (which did gluten free pizza and cocktails!!) and Grill'd (Gluten free burgers & chips) and Mad Mex (Mexican food. They do a couple of GF tortilla things) all next to each other basically. Also another cafe that we ate at another day. I wasn't fussed on that but I didn't get sick.
There was a book shop but it was closed by the time we came back from the convenience store. Loved the sign though
ANZ (a bank) goes a bit nuts with GAYtms around Mardi Gras. I wish I'd been able to get a photo of the one next to this with the lesbian scene but there was someone taking a pic and then using it so I didn't want to take photos.
We went out to go food shopping on Oxford St.
There wasn't a lot for us to get at the IGA as far as dinner went and I wanted to go out with Ruth so we went home, I took my pills (like a dill I forgot to take them and was 5 hrs late with my pain killer) and then we walked to the pizza place. It was loud but nice.
Ruthy! We got two gluten free pizzas and a jug of Passionfruit and Elderflower Caprioska. Was expensive but nice to go out. We don't really do dates. Couldn't taste much of the elderflower in the drink but it was good and we got a bit tipsy. Took a few slices of pizza home for breakfast. It was really thin crust and minimal toppings but nice.
Well that's Day 1. Going to leave it there as I'm struggling to keep sitting and need to go do stretches. More soon!
