Ugh. I keep giving up on doing anything online because our internet is so fucked.
We only got a week before we were capped because Tumblr is even more high loading than ever after this new update. You can't reblog something without it loading a whole page of dash before the popup window will load. It used all our bandwidth and now, at dial up speed, it wont load far enough to reblog. This is fucking ridiculous. God I wish fandom was active anywhere else right now. I couldn't keep up with Tumblr anyway and now I can hardly load anything.
It took me like an hour to get this dreamwidth page to load enough to write a post. No idea if it will actually post. I have the same issues with LJ. I certainly can't load any chat pages.
I really miss having any contact with fandom peeps. I flail on Twitter but I'm just shouting into the wind mostly and even when I do post on Tumblr either no one is seeing it or no one is responding. I want to flail about things with people. I want to talk about art I'm making and get feed back on it. I want to flail at others for their art and writing. I comment on AO3 but I'm usually on my phone (and there for short) because I can use data to load a story. On my computer I can't get a whole fic to load. AO3 isn't high loading at all but it's too much for our shitty internet.
I miss LJ and chats and there is livestreaming of art and media and chats going on and we can't join because they wont load. It makes me so fucking sad and cranky.
Right now my main fandom focus is Bucky and Steve but also other MCU stuff (not fussed about Thor or Loki and really am not fond of Steve/Tony but otherwise I like most other stuff including gen).
I've not seen the first half of the second season of SHIELD yet or Agent Carter. I'm hoping to catch up on both of those soon. Oh god I can't wait to watch Agent Carter.
I'd be happy to get back in to X-Men stuff but I can't load Mibbit.
I need to get back to posting here too. It's just hard to load and my health has been shit. Sitting is hard, it hurts. Painting art is getting harder. My eyes are getting worse and my graphics tablet is falling apart and my hands are bad and the brain fog is terrible because of the heat.
