things are chugging along.
our garden is growing and it's exciting. We have three teeny, tiny broccoli growing. This is massively exciting. Photos soon. I took them yesterday, just need to edit them. Editing means sitting at the desktop so I've not done it yet.
I have finished finishing the knitted shrug and cat for Genevieve. The cat is recognisable as a cat and looks better than the ones in the book so that's all I can hope for with that pattern. A lot of shaping needed to be done with the felting needle.
It came out a lot smaller than we'd thought and I don't have the money to give her any back so I'm currently needle felting a sitting cat to go with it.
I am also currently needle felting a snitch for Shygryf. I am having a bit of trouble working out the design though so I've felted 3 and am doing another one and she can choose which she likes.
I have finally got all the hats we've made up on
Etsy. Hoping to get some more embroidery and needle felted things I've finished up on there in the next couple of days too.
We have quite a few pairs of mitts/fingerless gloves/wrist warmers made up for the market too but I don't know that we can sell them on the Etsy store. The hats are mostly woollywormhead patterns and the patterns come with a licence to sell a certain amount of them online but the mitts we have made don't.
Speaking of felting, yesterday, when we went to the Post Office there was a package for me. It's a felting kit that was on my Etsy wish list. I think it might be from Winterhill who had asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I sent her the link for the wishlist. There was no note though. If you sent it then please let me know.
I also got a gorgeous and fandomy post card from Lefaym. It was a great mail day.
I had a whole day and a half off from head pain on Wed/Thurs. One of the baby physios (in training, not working with babies) told me to float on my back in the water and move my neck around. I knew the headache was mostly because my neck was really tight but was surprised this worked as I can't see it's much different to what I do every day. Will be doing it next week that's for sure.
Speaking of pain and headaches, last Wednesday we went in for Hydro. We'd also had to go in on Monday for Ruth's centrelink appointment. I was exhausted, I was in massive, massive pain and had an awful migraine and I probably shouldn't have been driving. I did okay on the way in but parking near the cafe I tried to get in to a parking space that was too narrow and I couldn't turn my head properly and I scraped the side of the car on a concrete poll. I now have nice blue gouges down the passenger side of the car. It's been like 10 years since I damaged the car like that. ugh.
Part of the headache/migraines that I've had for 2 weeks straight is the neck tightness and part of it is that Spring is basically here and all the trees are coming in my face. Wattle is out everywhere and the early fruit trees are blooming. Ours will probably be a couple of weeks away as we are in a hollow and don't get as much sun. Will be very pretty in a couple of weeks.
For now though my allergies/hayfever are kicking my arse again. Haven't had any issues with it for a while. >_< May have to get a nose spray or something. I have antihistamines that I've taken but they're not always enough and they cause awful dry mouth.
I'm having to massively cut down my Tumblr list. I have over 200 blogs followed and I can barely looks at a tiny fraction of them each day. I'm trying to cut back to just people I know but if I unfollow you and you read this, let me know. I don't know everyone's Tumblr names.
Umm, still rewatching CSI. It's interesting to see how the characters have changed in the 13 years it's been going. Used to watch it on TV when it was playing. Never thought I'd be reading fic for it.
Still fighting to get in to my yahoo account. I have the emails forwarded to my gmail but a while ago my account got hacked and we changed the password but none of them work when I try and log in so I've tried to change it, proved that I was me and then tried to put a new password in and it wont accept anything. It says it's not safe enough. I have tried all sorts of things and resorted to random words with capitals and small letters, numbers and symbols and still it wont accept any of them. Arg. I need that email to get in to my flickr account and for loads of other things. I've tried it on different browsers and different computers so it's not something blocking the page from working. I have no fucking idea.
Anyway, have to head in to town, for the third time this week, because we just got paid and need to buy stuff we couldn't afford to buy before we got paid. We're out of dog biscuits and cat litter and fruit and breakfast foods and most veg and nearly out of toilet roll so they aren't things we can do without.
Guess I should go and wake Ruth up or we wont have time to get to the cafe before it shuts.
