Day 36

Sep 05, 2011 02:14

I am grateful that I was able to finish one artwork and made some progress on another.
I am grateful for the muffins Ruth made for breakfasts
I am grateful that I have a blender and the ingredients to make the most awesome milkshake this evening.
I am falling off my chair grateful that kaalee linked to the most awesome picture of Benedict Cumberbatch. I don't want to hotlink though.
I am grateful that dinner turned out so awesome. Much veg and borlotti beans with a chilli, honey and lemon sauceything.
I am grateful that I have sorted out a stall to sell things at the October markets.
I am also terrified that I have sorted out a stall to sell things at the October markets.
We have a stall on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October in the Hall. We shall have some stuff we were getting rid of as it doesn't fit in the house, some second hand books that are mainly for bookmooch but if we can get some cash for them that would be great, some knitted and felted things if we can get them done soon enough. Maybe other crafty stuff but I don't think I'll have time to do what I want for this one. And cake *g* We'll make the chocolate and beetroot brownies and some other stuff we haven't decided yet. Banana & Walnut cupcakes with cream cheese icing? Maybe. All gluten free and probably something dairy free and nut free too.
Can't say I'm expecting to make much but anything would be good. A table is only $5 a day so we're not spending much on it.
I'd love to just sit down and make stuff for it but I have two fest works to finish, the house needs cleaning and the kitchen re-organising, the lawn needs mowing and we have to go down to Sydney for Ruth's birthday dinner.

My mood has been all over the place but I'm guessing it's pms. My pain is slightly better today but the brain fog is terrible. I wish I could think. And sleep. I'd love to sleep. Properly and comfortably.
Photos and links today.

The dogs 'helping' Ruth with the gardening

We were visited by Galahs and king parrots. Parrot pics tomorrow

O'Riely. I couldn't get a decent shot of him all day. They were all blurry and over exposed. It was bright in the sun and he wasn't staying still but it shouldn't have been such a problem.

My view of the garden from my seat on the ramp

I had to use the railing to block the sun as it was glarey

Dougall Man looking dramatic

Ruth has removed all the morning glory, dug over the bed and is planting Elder Flower.

Planting herbs around the Elder Flowers

I hope there will be enough sun. Also some of the seed packets are rather old.

Pippin 'helping' again. Or, well, he's staring at the geese next door who have come to tell us off. As geese do. Pip could win a medal at staring at the birds through a fence. Geese, ducks, chickens, pigeons. They're all equally exciting for him. He rarely barks and doesn't try and get through the fence just loves watching them. And then coming and telling us there are birds there. Like it's a surprise every time. *pats him on the head*

Pip checking everything has been done right

It really is a beautiful time of year. I may have to stop shooting cherry plum blossom though. I have thousands of pics >.<

Our sign. I'm really chuffed that I was involved in restoring this years ago.

Flower sparkle

Pretty light

I'll get the rest of the pics done tomorrow. The computer is running so slow tonight

And Links

Muse Rising is the blog of a lovely lesbian couple who are trying to sell stuff in their etsy store to fund their wedding now that NY has legalised gay marriage. They're only looking for $3000 and are about half way there right now. Pop over and check out the cute stuff they have.

This steampunk gun amuses me It says Lady Clankington's Uranium Pistol but you can see it's really a glass dildo. Steampunk hysteria machine? *g*

This pick of a naked Llama had us laughing for hours OMG how ridiculous does it look? I keep going back to the tab and laughing.

These penguin appetizers made out of olives, cream cheese and carrots are adorable
