I had to bandage up my ankle last night once I went to bed. Everytime I relaxed it bent the wrong way and made me yell.
Slept in later today, got up about 9:15 and went walking in the backyard for about 20 mins.
I ended up having to take the bandage off and just be careful because it was rubbing against my ankle and having something under my foot was bruising it.
I did okay though and only managed to crunch the bones in my left foot once *beams*
I feel like I need another nap now but I've got it done.
Spent yesterday evening finishing off the pictures that are due the end of this month, looking for pictures of The Christy Twins (you'd think pictures would have been profitable *shrugs*) and reading amazing fic.
I went through and caught up on all the one shots on marthas-library that I hadn't read. I swear I am in love. Actually Matha's Aura 'Verse stories are the reason I got into fandom. They were the first excellent stories I'd found. I finally read Turning back the clock It made me laugh, cry and wibble. It's so raw and real and *hugs it*
I also read a non magical Au, which is something I don't often do. It was also Harry/Draco which isn't something I often seek out but Ruth reced it to me and I'm glad I read it.
It was Keeper by kabeyk and it was fascinating. It was gritty and real and I *saw* the whole thing in my head. Sometimes I get pictures or even images with sound and smell from a fic but it's not often I see the whole thing like a short film.
It was written for a prompt that asked for non-magical boarding school stuff and this was the summery.
AU. Non-magical boarding school, lots of fighting and football and mud and scabby knees. And rum and dope and smoking behind the bike sheds and sex in the showers.
This house is odd. I'm sure it's hot in the bedroom now, although it's been cool enough for me to be sleeping with a quilt so I can tell the weather is changing. But I'm sitting here in the back bedroom with Ugg Boots, a long sleeved shirt and a blanket round me and I'm still cold.
*shivers* It's bright blue and sunny and warm outside but this room is freezing.
