Ungh.

Holy crap, am I ever tired. I had no caffeine at work tonight, thankfully, so once I was done talking to my mum on the phone (and she stopped texting me, gods) I was able to fall asleep. But I still only got like five hours. And that's right in between what's doable and what's ideal, and my head feels groggy.

I did seriously consider just waiting on the physio, to try and do it either after work gets done on the car (if there would be time) or on Saturday and Sunday instead. But eventually that stupid tenacity that seems to follow Ivan around kicked in and now I'm awake and sucking tea and desperately trying to make myself pay attention to things around me.

The goal is to be to the gym in about half an hour (see: for 08:30), so that I can be back home around 09:40, shower, and head out to Kentville with plenty of time. I'm going to bring some work with me, and hit up a Tim Horton's or something.

I've got three articles/chapters to read for Monday's critical theory seminar, so that will be the focus. This weekend I'd also like to get some Latin done, as well as some thesising, if I can help it, but I'm trying to keep time constraints in mind. Thesising might have to wait until the week. And this will be the second week of classes, so no more 'easing into it' excuses. It's time to start pulling 14-hour days, a la third year.

I am also probably not going to be writing the Marcuse essay, despite the fact that getting things done early has worked out for me in the past. That's what I'm aiming for with the thesis right now: done early. Or, earlier. Unless, of course, Marcuse inspires me like no other writer before him, at which point I may not have much of a choice. At least it's only a 1200-1500 word thing. Easy stuff, yes? Yes.

And I still don't want to substitute the 3000-4000 research paper for two essays. I don't think.

I've got more Herodotus to get done for Tuesday, but that can probably wait until Monday night. Herodotus is a fairly easy read. I should also start looking at Sophocles again on Monday.

All right. So that's the plan. And in point form:

Friday:
- Physio
- Whubble transmission work
- At least one article for Critical Theory
- Haircut
- Talk with Frank about summer
- Work
- Latin (must-do if only one Critical Theory article is done)

Giddyup.
