Whoops, forgot to press "update" last night...lol
I thought I should write this tonight, because most likely I’ll be too tired and too wound up tomorrow night to post anything, let alone anything not about Chicago.
I have had an incredible past couple of days. This is my absolute favorite time of year, and lately I’ve been doing SO MUCH to take it all in. I love Halloween, and the thought of Thanksgiving and Christmas being just around the corner, and my birthday is coming up...it’s just perfect.
(sorry, I’m keyed up for tomorrow, so I’m probably going to be rambling a bit here...)
Yesterday after class, Kari kidnapped me. I had NO IDEA where we were going, and it’s a good thing I didn’t know, because I surely would have declined the invitation. We went ice skating. Most of you probably know that I can’t skate worth a darn. Not only do I have NO BALANCE, but I also have foot problems that keep me from being, well, normal. lol All that aside, I looked like a complete and utter fool out there on the ice, but I had an AMAZING time. It was so much fun, even though it only lasted 30 minutes.
After skating I went apple picking with ESA. I really like the new girls that have joined us, and I’m really liking ESA a lot in general. Usually that organization gets pushed aside for SWE, but it was GREAT to spend time with those girls. The weather was nice, the apples were delicious, it was a nice time. *pats self on back for organizing it*
Then Elise and Kari and I went to Chevy’s for dinner. Our waitress commented FOUR TIMES about how much we were eating. Damn bitch. So, we made it our mission to clean our plates to show her, well, that we’re cows I guess, I’m not sure what the point really was. Anyway, it was quality time with the ie girls. <3
The best part of the day came after dinner when Kari and I met up with Erin and a couple of her friends at a haunted house. I FRICKIN LOVE HAUNTED HOUSES!!! I made an ass out of myself SEVERAL times, including telling the clown that I hate clowns, falling for the “careful of the stairs” trick, and best of all, thinking things were fake when they were real people. It was so much fun!!!!! I don’t think I’ve had that much fun in a while :)
A few quotes:
“would it be creepy if I took a picture?” - Kari commenting on a cute baby she was swooning over for 15 minutes
“are you going to go run after this?” - Our waitress commenting on our food choices.
“wouldn’t it be cool if he was real?” - Me, pretty self-explanatory
“this is fun!” - Cassie, BEFORE we even got into the apple orchard
Ahh, there are so many more, but I need to move on...
Today I went pumpkin chucking with SWE. I had a blast, and the weather was SO BEAUTIFUL!! I watched pumpkins fly through the air AND got a t-shirt...not much beats that ;) We have some great new girls in SWE, too. This year is turning out to be a good recruitment year. Well, except in AOE, but that’s a new entry...
I’ll post pictures shortly, I promise. Things are about to get crazy though, so be patient.
Tonight Elise, Emily and I joined Linde for dinner, and then went to see a movie at Marty. I feel like I haven’t been spending that much time with all of them...not like I used to. Hopefully that will change soon, because I miss our little foursome.
And kind of on that note: This isn’t directed at anyone in particular, but I know some a few of you think stuff is going on with me right now, but there’s nothing wrong. Really. Perhaps lj isn’t the best place to let you all know this, but honestly, I’m fine. Stressed, but fine. And hell, when am I NOT stressed out? ;) Please know that I’m not trying to ignore you, or keep you in the dark. I’m simply trying to figure things out on my own.
With that, I’m going to get to sleep. BIG DAY tomorrow!!!!!!! Up at 4:30, then off to Chicago!! So, Wicked folk, I shall be seeing many of you tomorrow - get ready ;)
Peace out, friends
-Katie :)
