(no subject)
tonite emma was overtired at bedtime and acting up a bit. she kept standing on the bed and heading for over the edge.. i put her on her bottom and told her no and i was serious that she needed to stop. she looked at me and in the most serious face/ voice she said ' im not joking!'
so hard to keep a straight face!!
still sleeping rough since the fire.. at nite time my mind just goes a million miles a min and i cant relax.. ive thought about taking a xanax to help relax me- but i worked so hard to get off tem, why start again?? so i had some tylenol with codines lying around and took one before sleep lol.. worked like a charm :-)
that was from a couple days ago.. 12 30 am and cant sleep.. well cuz i was out cold at 8 pm and missed HOUSE grrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My daughter is amazing.. she has been in love with the leapfrog alphabet things. she says ' hi im leap, say the alphabet!' and then recites the abcs LOL
she has learned and says ' B says buh!' so ive been saying emmy b buh for bubbles! etc etc out of the blue she said ' b for baby!' i kid you not. she is learning what the letter sounds are and associating them with words. 16 freaking months old, its insane.
and today out of the blue after working on d for dog she said ' d for daddy!' i bout fell over and have my mom for proof LOL
the other day she was singing the alphabet and then in the middle decided to switch to the days of the week... she knows monday, tuesday and sometimes wed. and sometimes fri and sat.
knows the words and sings the songs twinkle twinkle, parts of baby beluga, its raining its pouring, old macdonald, itsy bitsy. what usually happens is i sing a phrase and she sings the next.
how did i get so lucky?? my car caught fire, ive had the roughest yr that ive had since i was 19...but i have this beautifully brilliant daughter who keeps me going and grinning. i never could have imagined this would be so good. i know what being intensely proud feels like. i still have no vehicle, a serious lack of money, stress, depression but get around and talking with emmy and your blues lift... she gives me the oomph i need.
