6 years has flown by and it still feels like it just happened yesterday.
I changed my myspace background to represent 9/11, I still feel thankful everyday that I transferred schools when I did, and that the friends I did have interning there got out in time. My school was right there and who knows what could have happened.
I hope I don't get customers that want to talk about it when they call....we get a lot of old people that have nobody to talk to and I'm scared they'll want to use me to chat with. They talk about their hospital stays, their grandchildren, where they used to live, so I'm sure something will come up eventually about 9/11.
I don't want to talk about it....but I do need to acknowledge it and think about all those people who lost someone that day. I hate when people say "I don't get the big deal, get over it." That's ignorance to me and just plain selfish. It's fine to move on, it's wrong to just forget.
