...a new cast on my leg. The one they put on last week had sharp areas on the inside..probably because the tech put three layers of colored fiberglass on my leg and when she bent my foot up so it wouldn't drop, some of the inner layers got bent inward and when it all dried, were very sharp.
So we went up yesterday and got rid of that one (there were some red, scraped areas on my lower leg at the level where I thought the sharp areas were..) and a new one. Another cast tech did this one, and it's only two layers of the fiberglass, one with no color in it, which I think is slightly thinner and then a colored layer on top. (This one is maroon, the last one was bright yellow.) So I was much more comfortable with it and it's a little lighter, so it's easier for me to get around. And two weeks from now, I hope they put a walking cast on...that's what my
Doctor talked about and I'm looking forward to being able to get around a little more independently than I can now.
But the Mr. is taking excellent care of me...baking stuff like corn bread and brownies and sneaking in treats from the grocery. But things definitely got better with the new cast!
Plus, tonight we have Game Night with the daughter and SIL...we're going to try the Farming Game and the Mr. is making "Round Steak Special", so it should be fun. Last week they came over and we played Acquire, Apples to Apples and Mille Bournes .
