We've been living in Michigan in semi-rural areas for the last 26-odd years, and this morning, the Mr. finally hit a deer. Well, clipped a deer. The damage is all on the front passenger side, so he probably hit it a glancing blow, and it was probably a fairly small deer. At 4:45 am, you're not really going to be able to see them since they haven't got the common sense to put on a reflective vest when they go to cross the street. Fortunately, he's okay and the car is drivable. I've known people who have hit deer who have had their whole front windshield caved in and the like. The passenger side headlight is half-broken (but apparently still works..yeah, Honda!) and part of the bumper is broken off and the part that's left is all cracked and has pieces missing. We're hoping the insurance adjuster will have looked at it by Monday afternoon so we can start getting it fixed. And I'm so grateful that he didn't get hurt and that the car isn't any worse off than it is. Never a dull moment around here!
