Snow moving machine

I just finished shoveling the driveway(s). (We have two..the one that goes to the garage and the one that is the original driveway for the house, and it the one we have to go down to get our mail from the box on the street.) There was maybe two or three inches of snow on the ground and it was the fluffy kind, but I'm still kind of sore. But the Mr. has been doing it all lately, and I had today off and he didn't, so, since it was sunny (when I started) I went out and worked on it. Had my MP3 player, so I had some good tunes, and it didn't seem to take too long. Of course, by the time I was done, the clouds had rolled in but I 'got 'er done!. And I looked like an extra from My Name is Earl while I was doing it! I had on my boots and a pair of fleece sweatpants, a sweatshirt, my late father-in-law's blue-plaid quilted jacket and a nylon winter vest that I've had for at least 20 years. My hat was cream colored with blue and red and yellow snowflakes (Joe Boxer from a few years ago) and black leather gloves. You know, the sort of ensemble that gets you in the back of US Magazine with people making snide comments about your wardrobe choices! But I was comfortable and warm, so I don't care. But I had to laugh when I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. Now I'm going to relax the rest of the day and watch a little football and, after the Mr. goes to bed, maybe start on my "The Good Wife" DVD's or, if I want to warm up, the first season of Miami Vice .

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday!
