So this guy comes through the drive-thru tonight and orders some chicken. When asked if he wants some sauce for dipping, he says, "Yes, I'd like as many Ranch sauce as you can give me." So the young man taking his order replies: "I can give you three but then I have to charge you for any more after that." Which is our policy and is clearly stated several places in the restaurant.
The customer's reply? "Well, I spend at least $100 dollars here each week, so I should get some without having to pay!"
Really? So I can go to my local gas station and walk in and tell them that I spend about $120 there each month, so can I have something for free? And they will look at me like I've lost my mind, which I must have, to think that I can just demand that I be given something for nothing just because I spend money there.
I did give the guy an extra sauce without charging him, mostly to try and head any argument he might want to make off at the pass. He drove off without saying anything, but we were laughing about it for a while.
rant
