Sunday Morning, In Bed With Simon Cowell.

Jan 04, 2004 14:41

Not literally of course because he has a lovely girlfriend (and frankly even if he didn't I wouldn't touch him with someone else's bargepole) but I have spent the morning curled up in bed with his autobiography.  I don't know if anyone else has read it yet but I suggest you do - especially all you Pop Idol finalists (hayley_evetts , I'd recommend you get a look at what he's said about you and then set fire to his house or something) - it's quite an enlightening read.  I don't get a mention of course, but then why should I have expected any different.... I'm just a mere ITV2 presenter, unlike Ant and Dec who in the words of the 'Great God Cowell' 'made the show'.

Bitter? Me? No. Simon just gets completely on my nerves sometimes (all the time in actual fact) - I don't see how a man who's biggest claim to fame is the fact that he once got 'half of his own way' with Mariah Carey (mariah_c ) has any right to be so arrogant.  Sure, the man knows how to sell records but can't cook his own broccoli can he?

Actually, I'm not sure what the broccoli has to do with anything - Iappear to have gone into one of those completely nonsensical rants I used to go into on Pop Idol Extra... still the audience and 'the kids' seemed to quite like them so never mind.

I think maybe it's time to pull myself together and go and cook some lunch or something. Roast chicken with broccoli (unburnt) - yes, that'd be nice.  Then I'm going to ring nicki_c  to see if I can get some gossip out of her vis-a-vie this new show Simon Fuller has lined up for me... I need to get my career sorted out, I'm bored of staying at home every day watching Trisha and This Morning.

Love Kate x

PS - No word from Heat re: me playing Celebrity Editor.  Damn Mark Frith... he is an evil man (although clearly not on the same level as Cowell).
