Top 5 things I like about my Incredible
  1. my shiny red case, which is ironic considering I wasn't going to get it but LBro talked (practically forced) me into it
  2. the font in the web browser
  3. Twitter is completely different when you have access all day long, as is access to LJ responses
My biggest complaint about the Incredible is that the interface is ( Read more... )

If AT&T's coverage has improved in the NYC area I would recommend a 16GB iPad plus 3G (no monthly contract, pay monthly as you go) with a less intelligent phone for your phone needs.

saintswife has a 32GB with no 3G (but we pretty much have wireless everywhere we need to go and be) and its pretty amazing. So much more than the iPhone.

It hasn't...

Interesting idea, although I'd still be carrying two devices - actually, I'd be carrying an even larger device that way. I thought about it for travel until this darn device got me addicted to daytime email.

If you are looking for one device (and for some reason I didn't get the sense that was a requirement) then yes, iPad won't work out for you. And no I won't even try the argument that the skype app is pretty good because thats simply foolish. The iPad, due to its size will never be a phone. Its pretty freak'n awesome though. Thinner than a hardback book, iBooks (and kindle) are so much more readable on it that it puts the iphone to shame.

What about using the Incredible as your MP3 player as well? The smartphones should be able to do that.

micro SD is your friend, they go up to 32gigs, a quick google tells me your phone has micro sd slot.

You also may have pandora, which is awesome.

Stop fighting your instincts. Wait for the Verizon iPhone, which an avalanche of rumors places in early 2011.

I guess I'm smart phone challenged, but what the hell is the point in not using the smart phone for, you know, phone calls??

I am quite happy with the Droid interface, but I'm not juggling interfaces. I've got a Droid X, and it does everything I need it to do. (Web, calendar, contacts, txt, facebook, pdf reader, etc.) I suspect that in the next 12-18 months the next batch of them will be a lot more powerful, but the ones out now are still quite capable.
