It took me five emails total to fill my schedule for next week - and an hour on the phone to negotiate a car and crash space for this weekend, bc the latter involved my family. *sighs*
Anyone know (of) MmeSade? (nsfw, like duh.) Saw an email that she's presenting next week, trying to decide if it's worth a free night and a yuppie food stamp. There was a longer post on this topic, but I'm still processing.
I'm looking for sexy fun mischief on Apr 23 since
I missed steampunk burlesque. I figure if there was a possibility of vigorous horizontal exercise, they wouldn't've suggested delicious pork in the West Village for dinner, right?
I bailed on last night's Patagonia slide show at the Explorers Club, largely bc no one from the club got back to me to let me know they were going and I wanted to put in a few more hours at work. HOWEVER, I'm definitely looking forward to
the lecture on tea on Apr 26.
I've conned the 'rents into taking me to see Douglas Sills in She Loves Me in Westport. I don't understand why Sills is performing in the 'burbs, but IWINIWINIWIN!
Just found out there's going to be an aerial dance festival May 15-16 at the JCC on the Upper West. I'll probably go the 16th. YAAAAAY!
I'm shocked that the Oxonian Society is bringing in Fred Thompson on May 18, as their politics, unsurprisingly, are pretty liberal. I will probably probably go, as I've never had the pleasure of hearing him speak.
Flights and car for
the yoga and climbing in Red River Gorge (last year's site; they're doing it again May 21-23) are very do-able, and eating vegetarian for two days probably won't kill me, but I woke up this morning realizing that's the only unscheduled weekend in May. I might need a break by then.
