Poll three by three

I'm dubious about the last question: yes he was wearing penguin boxers, but last time he made a comment about my bra being too padded and this time he noticed I was walking out his door without pantyhose, so obviously he notices these details.

I was supposed to write a whole post asking for input on a winter hobby, but yeah. In case you were ( Read more... )

I'm still not convinced that's what's wrong with me. Becuase nobody else who has been diagnosed with this has ever had it this bad. They all say "oh [I][my spouse][my relative] had that. They were sore for awhile but did some stretching and ran a marathon a month later!" And I'm all "DUDE, IT IS A HUGE DEAL FOR ME TO WALK TO THE FRIDGE FROM MY CHAIR."

So keep that in mind. :) But based on my experience, I now advocate seeing a doc sooner rather than later, and taking the strongest thing they will give you.

I'm boggling that they let you yoga, swim, and bike - with how unpleasant my foot feels, those all sound like terrible ideas to me and it's not like I'm freakin' waking up from the pain at night.

It started getting worse yesterday, which convinced me to take the soonest reasonable appt.

How weird that with an MRI AND an x-ray, they still can't figure it out. I feel sometimes like even with all the fancy tests, it's a miracle they ever diagnose anything. (I'm thinking of my brother's health problems here too.) There's gotta be a better way.

I'm actually not willing to try biking yet. Anything weight bearing on that foot is agony. The yoga I am doing skips anything where I stand on that foot also - it's just the mild stretching kind. But I don't have trouble with swimming except for walking barefoot from the lockers to the pool itself.

Maybe I'll finally get to 20 pushups in a row! katestine October 30 2009, 20:54:32 UTC
I have this theory that my foot/ankle thing doesn't like pointing my feet, which I do when I do laps. Not crazy pointed like ballet, but still.

Can you do situps and pullups? If my doc tells me something whack like "no weight bearing exercise for 6mo", after I get done kicking and screaming, I'll probably be doing buckets of situps and pullups and elevated pushups. I'm surprisingly sore from yesterday's workout.

Yep, I can do those. And push-ups if I'm careful.
