I should apparently complain to LJ more ofen? On the DAY I posted last week, the following things happened.
- That file audit in two weeks? Won't actually be looking at my files. She's just doing the financial and admin portion of the grant. The file audit will be happening, but I have an extra 4-6 weeks to prepare.
- We booked a place for our anniversary. Not in Breckenridge, in a smaller town outside Breck, but it's cheaper (a Stimulation Special, which sounds much dirtier than it's meant to, I think) AND within walking distance of our favorite outlets.
- Best of all (kinda sorta), Alex's friend's mom is still living. Last Thursday, he was out doing errands at lunch, and decided to stop by, a very un-Alex-like thing to do. She is not doing well - she has lymphoma, I believe, and the doctors have given her just a week or two more to live. But, Alex is back in touch with Luke and with Luke's family and he feels good about that. Still guilty about not getting in touch sooner, but glad he's been able to spend some time with them.
So, thank you guys for all your good vibes and everything - they are clearly working.
