Things That Are Awesome
1. I AM SEEING MADONNA TONIGHT HOLY SHIT. I have been looking forward to this, like, my ENTIRE LIFE. I have the best husband in the world.
2. I took myself to see HSM3 again yesterday - and it was only $5, instead of the $8 I was expecting, SCORE - and it was just as wonderful the second time around. The only other people in the theatre were three women in probably their mid-thirties, and they totally agreed, as evidenced by their chair-dancing and giggling and wolf-whistling Zefron's shirtless back. I kind of wanted to introduce myself, but they bailed before the credits were over. I had to wait to see all the outtakes and stuff, so by the time I walked out, "Now or Never" was playing, and I was singing kind of loudly and maybe dancing a little, and I very nearly ran some dude over as I came out the door, and he laughed at me. Because of the singing. I am SUCH an adult.
3. I also got to go shopping with Chris yesterday, which was super fun. I, shockingly, bought a pair of jeans (I had a coupon for Anthropologie, I've gotten rid of a bunch of jeans lately, don't judge me!), as well as new skin stuff (Sephora gave me a Clinique sampler and I heart it), a couple of t-shirts on sale from J. Crew, some little nail polishes from OPI, and...I think that's it? I'd gotten some other stuff from J. Crew, but the Anthropologie jeans cancelled out the J. Crew jeans, and their sweatshirts are always cut SO SMALL that I just couldn't totally justify keeping the one I bought. Sweatshirts are supposed to be cozy and wonderful, not too-small and annoying. Stupid J. Crew.
4. Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! The day itself was kind of a bust (except for the part in the afternoon where lillaura made me feel infinitely better and also had the brilliant idea of watching Hairspray for the Zefron), though much fun was had in the evening. A whole mess of people came out for drinks and hanging out, and it made me feel loved.
5. Not only am I seeing Madonna tonight, I am also getting to see Ingrid Michaelson on Friday. AND I might get to do a Meet and Greet. Maybe. I hope. I'm supposed to be doing Street Team-y stuff, but I've really only sent them links to blog posts and stuff online. We shall see, I guess. Either way, the show is going to be awesome and I'm really excited.
6. Oh! I also ordered new perfume from Neiman Marcus online, since they didn't have exactly what I wanted in the store (the perfume, plus lotion and powder). My old perfume (Prada) is just about gone, and I wanted to change it up, so I'm going with Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle, which I adore.
7. I still love my new haircut, and am getting compliments left and right about it. I am so glad I ditched out on Anita - I haven't had a haircut this great since I first started seeing her.
...I think that's it for now. I need to go do some actual work, since I've been such a slacker lately.
