It's out it's out it's out it's outttttttttttttt!!!

OMG SO HAPPY.

It was completely different from how I thought it would be, actually. They told me when I got there that they were going to pretty much knock me out, scope me, and take it out the careful - and more time-consuming - way.

Instead? The doctor came in, doped me up, got me talking and distracted, and just yanked it out.

And that was it! It was gone!

I mean, it wasn't a small yank, but it didn't hurt a bit. The tube itself immediately got taken away, so I didn't have to look at it, and they gauzed it up right away. Two big thick pads of gauze that were pretty much soaked through right away, which is ew, but did I mention that it doesn't hurt??! Totally fabulous.

The scar is going to be fairly hilarious, though. I thought my grandpa was talking hyperbole when he told me I'd have a second bellybutton, but nope. It's definitely going to look like a bellybutton - all indented and stuff. When it's totally closed and less gross, I'll take a picture.
EDITED: I just changed the gauze and heeee. It sort of looks like I got shot. I'm such a badass.

Or maybe I'm the only one all fascinated? Whatever.

So I have today off, and then we're going to the Serenity screening with Andrea and Shaun and Slibby and woooooooooooo!! That is going to be awesome. Alex and I are going to get all decked out in our totally geeky t-shirts and I'm trying to get him to wear his Jayne hat, even thought it's summer.

AND I got my Mermaids DVD that I ordered, PLUS Netflix says we're getting High School Musical today, which rules. And I can run errands and go downtown and get a smoothie for lunch - and a bagel for breakfast - which I didn't think I was going to be able to do, because I thought I was going to hurt.

WHICH I DON'T! YAYS!

So today will rule.

You guys have been so incredible during this whole thing - more than I ever could have imagined. The support and love you've given me over the last few months has been wonderful, and I'm never going to be able to thank you all properly. But I do know that getting through this experience would have been much harder - and way less fun - if I didn't have y'all. So thank you thank you thank you. You're all amazing. *loves*
